A vintage set of sterling silver bracelets from Taxco’s middle period, these two are only marked with Eagle 17 yet they are one of the nicest pair of bangles I have seen. I will almost dare to suggest theirs is a stylized snake design because of the scale-like texture of the bracelet. Very good craftsmanship and silver wire of good thickness along with fantastic patina draw the eye while the pair’s musicality appeals to the ears…
Size/Weight: 7 1/2″ inner circumference (yet relatively adjustable); width between 3/16″ at the body and 3/8″ at the puffy “snake heads”; 55.9 grams (for the set)
Hallmarks / Date: marked with Eagle 17 as well as “MEXICO”; 1950s-70s
Condition: excellent vintage, very unusual in its design and generous in weight, with great patina and no damage noted.
SOLD – Thank you!
