Vintage Italian silver and blue enamel Uno a Erre bracelet in a slick mod design – I believe this to be from the 1960s; while the company still exists today, they don’t seem to be making pieces like this one any more. I love the texture in the links – they seem to be made of sea moss and the applied enamel elements also allude to seaweed. The color of the enamel is medium dark blue with a hint of purple in it – a little darker in natural light and semi-transparent, if one looks closely.
There is a second signature on the clasp’s tongue that reads “BREV” – ostensibly the bracelet’s designer…
Size/Weight: 7 1/2″ long (wearable) by 11/16″ wide; 36.5 grams
Hallmarks / Date: “UNO A ERRE” and “925” as well as “BREV” (on the tongue of the clasp); 1960s
Condition: excellent vintage with saturated color in the enamel and no problems with it, great patina and an eye-catching design; the tongue of the clasp seems to have been re-inforced to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use so it works properly and is very secure
SOLD – Thank you!
