Old sterling silver chain necklace, this is generously long piece at 26″ and quite heavy with its double rolo links moving like silk and having the most amazing patina. One of those examples of personal adornment that sweeps you off your feet at first sight, it still befuddles me with its complete lack of any kind of hallmark. I suspect that it is an early 20th c. chain and that its findings might have been replaced at some point. Whether you choose to wear it alone or pair it with a pendant (as shown in one of the photos below), it will never let you down…
