Long and substantial, this vintage Tono for Cecilia Mexican silver chain necklace is comprised of tubular and small sterling spherical links interrupted by big, hand-cut amethyst beads and sterling lozenges with azur-malachite inlay. A feast for the eye with strong colors and fantastic patina, it can be worn by itself or combined with similar pieces. Chain necklaces of this kind seem to be very popular again and I am thrilled to have come upon a number of them in the last few months…

Hallmarks / Date: fully signed with both Cecilia’s and Tono’s names alongside “HECHO EN MEXICO” and des. no T 330; no Eagle assay mark so most probably pre-1948
Condition: excellent vintage with strong color in the amethyst beads and azur-malachite inlay, impressive presence and no damage or repairs noted
