Antonio Pineda’s “velvet cord” necklace line always impressed me – the marrying of steely, glistening silver with the plush suppleness of velvet, the absolute domination of silver and black, the elegance of its minimalism is one of the renowned maestro’s most successful endeavors. The Lascaux hunters adorning this massive, axe-shaped pendant necklace are outlined in shadow-box and jump out of their fine background, tense and on edge as their ancient adventure unfolds. And the hand-hammered, spear-shaped silver tips of the velvet cord are the perfect finishing touch to an already superb creation…

Condition: excellent vintage with no damage or repairs noted, stunning presence, the velvet cord as good as new and beautiful patina
