Inspired by the Lascaux paintings, this amazing cuff bracelet by Antonio Pineda is wrought in his favorite .970 silver alloy and masterfully bridges the thousands of years between the minimalism of early humanity and the modernist abstraction of the mid-20th c.. Pineda employs here the technique of the so-called “shadow-box”, cutting out of the cuff’s face slender, full of motion figures of ancient hunters to reveal the blackened silver sheet behind them. Massive, the bracelet has an elongated oval form which allows the decoration to show fully when one has it on. Timelessly amazing…
