Antonio Pineda Mexican 970 silver modernist hinged Bracelet

on Nov 20, 2019 in archived

Unadulterated commitment to minimalism – this is the statement this Antonio Pineda modernist bracelet makes. I have sold this specific design a couple of times in the past but its unpretentious beauty never fails to impress me. Wrought in the maestro’s favorite .970 alloy, it has had a long, happy life and is now waiting for its next caretaker…

Size/Weight: 6 3/4″ inner circumference (clasped); just shy of 1″ wide; 110.4 grams

Hallmarks / Date: fully and appropriately hallmarked with Antonio’s crown, “SILVER 970”, des. no ZZ 833 and Eagle 17 assay mark; 1950s-60s

Condition: very good vintage with beautiful patina, no damage or repairs noted but with two most imperceptible, light, very small impressions in one of the wings – they are not readily noticeable yet I am mentioning it for accuracy and their existence is reflected in my pricing

Inv. #14617
