Pearls are among my favorite jewelry components and the ones in this fabulous late Art Deco silver bracelet are wonderful little spheres of glistening white. There is something magical about pearls, the way they are created, and their absolute elegance. Here they are set in sculptural foliate links, as if somebody just threw a handful of them in the garden and just left them there among the leaves. Though it is hallmarked, I have not been able to identify the maker of the bracelet – the marks are just too tiny. It is, however, a European piece since it is made of 800 silver – could be German, could be early Scandinavian. Does it matter, though?
