Big and distinctive, a rare to find Los Castillo Mexican silver ring adorned with a curvaceous green turquoise cabochon. I love the towering shape of the stone and the traditional yet less-is-more attitude of the adjustable, open shank. An early creation by one of Taxco’s most celebrated talleres…
Size/Weight: sz 9.5 yet adjustable (mostly upwards, I would think, though you could make it a little smaller as well); face is approx. 7/8″ by 5/8″ and when worn, the ring rises 1/2″ off the finger; 10.5 grams
Hallmarks / Date: maker’s early signature in straight capital letters as well as des. no 304; 1940s
Condition: excellent vintage and very unusual; please note that the stone wiggles ever so slightly in its bezel yet it’s still very secure and in no danger of falling out
SOLD – Thank you!
