One of the few known female Taxco designers and a modernist at that, Erika Hult de Corral can be riveting – and I think the line of necklaces and earrings in which the piece at hand belongs is one of her exceptional moments. Dramatically elongated bi-cone tubes, spheres pitted and oxidized that look like fragments of the moon’s crater-scape and an impressive medallion combine in a long necklace with just the right touch of brutalism…
