Erika Hult de Corral Ric Mexican modernist silver and lapis Ring

on Jan 28, 2020 in archived

Big, modernist Erika Hult de Corral sterling silver and triple lapis ring made in the post-1980 period yet bold and beautiful! Though the so-called “T-mark” jewelry from Mexico are now considered almost “officially” vintage, at least the ones from the early 1980s, I don’t deal in them unless it’s a piece by a designer I know and respect or if it’s an affordable, well-made copy of an earlier “big name” piece. This ring obviously belongs in the first category – just look at it! The geometric cut-outs in the silver-work temper the massiveness of the ring’s body and the color in the lapis spheres is dark and rich. It’s Ric doing her magic all right…
