It’s been a very long time since I last came upon a set of Mexican silver earrings in this specific design and I am thrilled to have finally found one! Exquisitely ornate “ribbon-work” that twists and turns, loops in on itself and creates little tendrils here and there forms each earring’s body. And as if that is not enough the pair is enhanced with playful mini spearhead dangles. A sterling “labyrinth” hanging off your ears…
Size/Weight: 3 3/4″ long by 1 3/8″ wide; 12.7 grams (for the set)
Hallmarks / Date: maker’s initials “MMC” as well as “TAXCO MEXICO 925” and Eagle 3 assay mark; 1950s-70s
Condition: excellent vintage with amazing length yet light and easy to wear, with great patina (you can always polish a little) and no damage or repairs noted except for the fact that the set was converted to posts at some point (the original findings would have been screwbacks)
