Flli Peruzzi Italian 800 silver dangle Earrings ~ heart shaped with cascabeles

on Jan 23, 2015 in archived

Wonderful Peruzzi, Florence Italian earrings dating in the Deco years, this set is wrought in 800 silver which was the standard for Italian jewelers until 1934. A heart-shaped set, it is adorned with floral and foliate motifs and has tiny little “mock bells” hanging off it (the Mexicans call them “cascabeles” and that’s why I use the term in the title). Beautifully made and early…

Size/Weight: just shy of 2″ long by 7/8″ wide; 13.5 grams (for the set)

Hallmarks / Date: “PERUZZI FLORENCE” and “SILVER 800”; 1900-1930s

Condition: excellent vintage with fantastic patina, a romantic yet visually strong design and no flaws noted
