long Erika Hult de Corral Ric Mexican silver and stone Necklace

on Jun 28, 2020 in Mexican and Latin American, Necklaces

Generously long and definitely mod, this Erika Hult de Corral necklace is a minimalist little treasure! Not only does it wear like a dream – for me it is the epitome of “less-is-more”, except for the luscious greens that make the polished stone centering it a treat for the eye. This is a pre-1980 example of her work and quite versatile since you can easily wear it with that classy black dress or have it casually adorn your favorite worn T-shirt…

Size / Weight: 21 1/2″ long; width between 1″ at center front and 1/4″ at its narrowest, on either side of the clasp; 60.3 grams

Hallmarks / Date: signed with de Corral’s signature as shown as well as “TAXCO” and des. no 310; on the back of the clasp’s box there is also an Eagle 3 assay mark (I apologize for having failed to photograph it but it’s there); 1960s-70s

Condition: excellent vintage, with unusually generous length, a beautiful stone and patina, with no damage or repairs noted
