Early Mexican Deco sterling silver repousse bracelet by M. Velazquez in a bold floral design whose central link is set with a beautiful turquoise cabochon. There is almost no information about maestro Velazquez other than his hallmarks which put him right at the opening decades of Mexico’s 20th c. Silver Renaissance. Yet the inherent quality of his pieces and his style that follows that of Matilde Poulat makes his jewelry excellent alternatives to Matl’s creations…


Size/Weight: 6  3/4″ long (inner circumference, clasped); width between 1  5/8″ and 3/8″; 51.8 grams

Hallmarks / Date: Velazquez’s name as well as “MADE IN MEXICO” and “925”; pre-1948 period

Condition: excellent vintage with no dings or dents, a beautiful stone and the added security of a safety chain
