Created by Valentin Vidauretta the “armadillo necklace is legendary in the index of classic Taxco design and can be found signed by Hector Aguilar as well as Manuel Altamirano. It is the latter who takes credit for the example at hand, in all silver with its graduated, riveted “scale” links seamlessly coming together in a hidden clasp. Hallmarks / Date: maker’s name as shown as well as “TAXCO MEX” and “925”; 1940s
