Gorgeous Margot de Taxco sterling repousse koi fish necklace and pins combo, this is a design out of her “Far Eastern” period. A Margot classic and one of her most loved creations, it is executed in all-silver here with stunning, articulated fish and two lengths of chain whose links mirror the waves and bubbles surrounding the koi. It seems that Margot was a practical kind of girl who had an affinity for jewelry that could be broken up in smaller components which would then work individually as well. Wear this example as a necklace or enjoy its two koi pins alone. The previous owner assured me that she also combined one length of chain with one of the brooches to form a bracelet. It is doable indeed yet on my wrist, it didn’t quite sit properly, maybe because of the size…
