Margot de Taxco sterling silver necklace in an elaborate knot design made more dramatic by the intense geometry of the central link and the oxidation that causes the raised band around each station to pop. This is by far my favorite “knot” design of hers; not too simple, not overwhelmingly complicated – just guaranteed attention grabber…
Size/Weight: 16 1/2″ (wearable; might even feel a little more comfortable due to the dip at center front); central “knot” link is 3″ wide and adds a 1 7/8″ drop to the necklace; width at the chain is 5/16″; 54.4 grams
Hallmarks / Date: fully and appropriately signed with Margot’s logo as well as “STERLING MADE IN MEXICO”, Eagle 16 and des no 5684; 1950s-60s
Condition: excellent vintage with nice patina, its oxidation in great shape and no damage or repairs noted – a real sweetheart of a necklace!
Offered at $445.00
