Matching the cuff bracelet that is also available in my store an American Arts and Crafts silver and jade ring by Mary Gage. Delicate lilypads with hand-chased veins and tiny little beading surround the antique Chinese carved bead that takes center stage here. A signature motif for Mary Gage, lilypads show up in her jewelry very often; in the ring I am presenting they have acquired a deep patina that renders them three-dimensional and evoke romantic images of tranquil, misty ponds. Hallmarks / Date: not signed (which is not unusual) but a Mary Gage piece with no doubt; the matching cuff bracelet is fully signed and I have uploaded photos of the two pieces together as well as of the bracelet’s signature; 1920s-40s
Condition: excellent vintage with deep patina (you can always buff it up a little), with no damage or repairs noted and nice color in the jade bead
