Two bugs are always better than one, especially when they are dragonflies hand-wrought in silver and adorned with luscious stone cabochons. The “Machine Age” example at hand is the second of the same design I recently acquired, made in Mexico in the 1940s, and it is embellished with rich, dark green agate cabs. Just like the amethyst version you can see in one of the photos, its perforated wings exude a strong “industrial” feel and its deep, glowing patina bespeaks the long, happy life it has enjoyed…
