If you follow One Good Eye Silver, you probably know that I am for ever in love with these Mexican Deco hinged bangle bracelets that are made up of rows of repousse semi-spheres, their front wing being overlaid with small cabochons in bezels. Usually “anonymous”, they feature turquoise or amethyst most of the time, like here, but I have seen them with green “onyx” glass and even black onyx. In the last few years they seem to have become not as easily available as in the past so I am thrilled to be offering this beauty tonight. Hallmarks / Date: “STERLING MEXICO”; 1930s-40s
Condition: very good vintage with all the stones present and accounted for, with no damage and safely set in their bezels, patina that you can always polish to a higher sheen, if you want, and no unsightly damage or repairs except for a couple of impressions in the repousse semi-spheres that I have pictured and that, in my opinion, are to be expected on pieces like this
