Classic Mexico City Deco, the beaded design of this hinged silver bracelet brings to mind Fred Davis’s creations but this is an anonymous beauty. Comprised of seven rows of repousse semi-spheres, its front part is also studded with small turquoise cabs in soothing greens and blues. This is one of my favorite designs of hinged bracelets – one could say I am obsessed in my hunt for all variations of it and they are becoming so difficult to find any more…
Size/Weight: 7″ inner circumference (clasped); 1 1/16″ wide; 70.2 grams
Hallmarks / Date: “SILVER MEXICO”; 1930s-40s
Condition: very good vintage with no unsightly dings or dents in the repousse semi-spheres, good width and weight, all its stones present and accounted for, boasting beautiful greens and blues; one of the stones, as you can see, had a natural fissure that popped but it is secure and unmoving in its bezel; a small little blemish that is excused by the age and scarcity of the bracelet
SOLD – Thank you!
