A very rare design to come upon, the early Mexican Deco silver necklace I am presenting here brings to mind both Spratling’s “caviar” as well as some of Fred Davis’s creations in sterling and amethyst. Yet this is an anonymous beauty with a patina that seems to be very old, if not the piece’s original. Each link consists of three rounded pyramids topped by perfect llttle cabs, meticulously and carefully put together by hand…
Size/Weight: 16 1/2″ long (once clasped, it becomes a little roomier at about 17″) by 7/8″ wide; 56.7 grams
Hallmarks / Date: “MEXICO STERLING”; 1920s-30s
Condition: excellent vintage with all its stones present and accounted for, unbelievably elegant and having the patina you want to see on a well-loved necklace of this age.
SOLD – Thank you!
