Post-1980 Rivera Mexican silver and turquoise combination pin / pendant in an iconic “Mexico City repousse” design that is also closely associated with Matilde Poulat, the “paloma”. Maestro Rivera was a contemporary of Matl’s and his work was exceptionally good with many of his jewelry based on Poulat’s designs. Since this is a much later piece, I would suggest that members of his family followed in his steps and took over the workshop. Lucky for us, the level of workmanship and quality of materials seems to have stayed the same and the result is right in front of our eyes…
