Sigi Pineda Mexican silver modernist Ring ~ Taxco “boomerang” by pass with turquoise

on Apr 17, 2016 in archived

Sigi Pineda rings don’t come up very often and I am very happy to present here an example out of his “boomerang” line. Fashioned in the so-called by pass style, this is a slick, mod piece, its two wings adorned with bezel set turquoise cabs. Fantastic patina and excellent vintage condition make this an absolute must-have for collectors of Mexican jewelry and lovers of mod design alike…

Size/Weight: currently sz 6 yet relatively adjustable (upwards, I would suggest); face just above 1″ by approx. 3/4″;

Hallmarks / Date: Sigi’s name as shown as well as bearing des. no 47 and a partially stamped Eagle assay mark; 1950s-60s

Condition: excellent vintage, a rather rare find, with great patina and no flaws/repairs noted

SOLD – Thank you!
