stunning Rivera for Emma Mexican silver and alexandrite Bracelet

Matching the necklace in the same design that is also available on my site (you actually see the demi together in one of the photos), a vintage Francisco Rivera for Emma Melendez sterling silver bracelet with color-change sapphires that are habitually referred to as alexandrites in Taxco jewelry. This must be a very rare design – in all my years of searching for vintage Mexican pieces, I have never seen it come up before. And it is one of Rivera’s masterpieces – with stunning stones, thick, perfectly patina-ed silver, immaculate finishing and so comfortable to wear, it feels like an extension of your body…


Size/Weight: 7  3/4″ long (wearable); width between 1  11/16″ in the front and just shy of 1″ at the clasp; 84.3 grams

Hallmarks / Date: maker’s conjoined initials “FR” as well as “EMMA”, “STERLING TAXCO”, des. no 717 and a partially stamped Eagle assay mark (should be Eagle 3); 1950s-60s

Condition: excellent vintage, absolutely ravishing with the patina you want to see on a well-loved and cherished silver bracelet, gorgeous stones and the highest level of craftsmanship Taxco ever achieved
