Antique Austro-Hungarian .800 silver gilt hinged bangle bracelet with black enamel and a vermeil floral applique studded with little seed pearls this piece is from the latter part of the Victorian era and signed by Markowitsch and Scheid of Vienna. I could hardly exaggerate the bracelet’s elegance – everything seems to be in perfect proportion; the serious look of its glistening dark enamel offset by both the warm glow of the vermeil and the lily of the valley spray on its front wing. The decoration is completed with discrete engraved designs around the hinge and the clasp. A beautifully made Italian Deco 800 silver pendant necklace in the style associated with the Peruzzi and Coppini Bros, this is an anonymous beauty yet its high quality and very good finishing attest to its makers prowess in the art of jewelry making. The long, ornate chain is made up of alternating floral and fleur-de-lis links that are interrupted by faceted black glass beads. The same beads dangle off the crisply cast pendant with the face of the North Wind (sometimes also called the Green Man) surrounded by beading and unfurling stylized leaves and feather motifs.
