Warm fall colors dominate this Mexican Deco sterling silver and tumbled stones necklace. Perfect for the colder days ahead of us it is generously long and the polished agates that make it up bring to mind sweet chunks of caramel. I am always on the look-out for necklaces of this kind, especially the early ones because they are more difficult to find compared to the post-1980 versions yet infinitely higher in the quality and colors of their stones and the gauge of the wire used to cage them…   Size/Weight: 31 1/4″ long; stones are at least 5/8″ wide; 101.8 grams Hallmarks / Date: maker’s initials “CJC” and “STERLING 925 MEX”; pre-1948 Condition: excellent vintage with an amazing combination of color in the tumbled stones that allow it to be combined with almost anything, having no damage and no repairs – a great example of the genre...

I am very partial to early beaded necklaces and this is one of my favorite designs.
