A very rare and early Mexican repousse cuff this is an unsigned piece yet its incredible workmanship and design originality elevates it to museum quality. My hypothesis is that it represents an ancient ritual, possibly associated with Malinalxochitl, the Aztec sorceress and goddess of snakes, scorpions and insects of the desert.
