Mexican Deco silver and enamel Necklace in a Margot de Taxco design

By in archived |

Possibly a Miguel Arias piece this vintage Mexican sterling silver and blue enamel necklace is obviously based on a Margot de Taxco design and exhibits craftsmanship of the highest quality. Its shield-shaped links combine champleve and confetti enamel in colors that are perfect for the summer…   Size/Weight: 15  7/8″ long (wearable); shield links part is 7  1/2″ long by just shy of 1″ wide; 45.9 grams Hallmarks / Date: “STERLING MEXICO” and des. no 5413; I am not sure if the combination “CHO” is meant to be part of “HECHO” or simply maker’s initials; if the latter is the case, then I would suggest this might be a Miguel Arias necklace; pre-1948 Condition: excellent vintage with great patina, gorgeous colors in the enamel and no flaws noted   SOLD – Thank you!
