One of the few known female Taxco silversmiths and designers and a modernist at that, Erika Hult de Corral’s work has a slick elegance and a quality that justifies the desirability her creations enjoy. The set of “pagoda” dangle earrings I am presenting here is both difficult to find and a pleasure to wear and to behold…   Size/Weight: just shy of 1  7/8″ long by 3/4″ wide (at their widest); 14.0 grams (for the set) Hallmarks / Date: maker’s signature “Ric” in script as well as Eagle 3 assay mark (on the screw backs) and design no 1012; 1960s Condition: excellent vintage with great patina, very difficult to find and with no flaws noted; please be advised that the findings on this set are a combination of screw-back and clip which is some times the case with earrings from this specific period   SOLD – Thank you!...

Generously long and beautifully crafted, a set of vintage Mexican silver dangle earrings made for Arte en Plata, a Mexico City based shop owned by the Jacopo brothers. Arte en Plata sold high quality jewelry commissioned from independent maestros in Taxco whose initials can often be found marking the pieces as well. The earrings at hand, steeped in Spanish Colonial tradition interpreted here with a mod twist are part of a set that also includes the matching bracelet…   Size/Weight: 2  3/8″ long by 7/8″ wide; 13.0 grams (for the set) Hallmarks / Date: maker’s initials “AJ” as well as “TAXCO STERLING 925” and Eagle 3 assay mark; though the “Arte en Plata” mark is not on the earrings due to lack of space, the matching bracelet bears the whole set of hallmarks; 1950s-60s Condition: excellent vintage, very impressive in size...
