Signed by Portugal’s foremost silver manufacturer whose hinged bracelets are avidly sought after, this piece was made some time in the late Deco era but its style and quality point in the direction of earlier periods. Wrought in .833 silver this glorified bangle (as I like to think of this type of bracelets) is richly adorned with architectural and floral designs whose sculptural appeal is enhanced by warm, glowing patina. Size/Weight: 7 1/8” inner circumference (clasped) by 7/8” wide; 32.4 grams
Hallmarks / Date: “TOPAZIO, “PORTUGAL” as well as hallmarks indicating place of manufacture (Porto, I believe) and grade of silver (.833); post-1937 (I would suggest 1940s)
Condition: excellent vintage with great patina, beautifully made with rich, crisp decoration, with no damage nor any repairs noted and the added security of a safety chain
