Topazio Portuguese 833 silver repousse hinged Bracelet ~ scrolls and flowers

on Jan 12, 2020 in archived

Signed by Portugal’s foremost silver manufacturer whose hinged bracelets are avidly sought after, this piece was made some time in the late Deco era but its style and quality point in the direction of earlier periods. Wrought in .833 silver this glorified bangle (as I like to think of this type of bracelets) is richly adorned with architectural and floral designs whose sculptural appeal is enhanced by warm, glowing patina. I have a number of similar Portuguese bracelets – some have already sold, others are still waiting to be listed – and in one of the photos here you see this specific example paired with a narrower one I will present shortly. If you don’t see it among my listings, please ask…

Size/Weight: 7 1/8” inner circumference (clasped) by 7/8” wide; 32.4 grams
