In the style of Graziella Laffi a vintage 1950s silver and gold Peruvian necklace with graduated links in the form of stylized birds. Drawing on Peru’s rich cultural heritage this is an unsigned piece yet its quality and craftsmanship are en par with the best signed Peruvian jewelry from the period. Just note the perfect overlay and the carefully etched details in the birds’ plumage. I have no way of testing whether the gold parts are solid or plated (and I don’t want to mar the piece either) yet normally on an example of this caliber the former would be the case.
Definitely impressive and a collector’s dream…
