Early Taxco sterling silver repousse cuff bracelet featuring fearsome dragons butting heads at center front and wraping their tails around the wrist. This is obviously copying the Los Castillo parure and it is beautifully made, with careful and confident repousse that is further accented by hand-chasing and oxidation. It is shown here with the matching necklace that is also available on this site, the two pieces coming together in a perfect demi for the fiery female!
Size/Weight: 7 1/4″ inner circumference (including the 1 3/8″ gap); width between 2 1/2″ and 1 1/4″; 64.0 grams
Hallmarks / Date: “MEXICO SILVER” and “TAXCO”; pre-1948
Condition: very good vintage condition – these cuffs are so difficult to find with no damage – with great patina, very good craftsmanship and only a couple of old, inoffensive impressions in the repoussage that have oxidized over the years and add character to the cuff more than take away from its beauty
