Jose Luis Flores Mexican modernist Bracelet

$270.00

I am not sure if Jose Luis Flores worked for Aguilar at some point during his career yet the mixed metals modernist bracelet of his that I am presenting here is based on an Aguilar design. Flores is one of those Taxco maestros who produced consistently high quality jewelry, often emulating pieces first launched by the “big” workshops yet quite frequently coming up with ingenious creations of their own. What I love about this bracelet is the graduated size of its oval links, its good weight and the interplay of gracefully aged silver with the warmth of copper. The fact that the links are actually riveted together in the back thus guaranteeing smooth, unimpeded movement is another indication of the bracelet’s high craftsmanship…
