Peruzzi style silver and carnelian roses Pendant Necklace

As delicately made as the roses that adorn the links of its chain and the frame of its pendant, this long Deco necklace reminds me of pieces made during that period in Italy by the Peruzzi and Coppini Bros and many less famous silversmiths. I love the generous length of it, the elongated, textured paper-clip links and the gorgeous semi-translucent stone that adorns it. This is classy, self-assured elegance - it doesn’t need to be loud in order to draw attention and be admired…

Size / Weight: pendant is 2 3/8” long (without the bail) by 1 1/2” wide; with the bail it adds a 2 5/8” drop to the chain; chain itself is 26” long; 29.4 grams

Hallmarks / Date: spring ring marked “925” yet I believe it to be a later replacement; the pendant necklace proper is not marked for maker nor metal quality yet tested and guaranteed to be solid silver of at least .800 purity though I think it is most probably sterling; 1920s-40s

Condition: excellent vintage with the elegance and grace that well-made pieces of this period are known for, great patina and a beautiful stone, with no damage and no repairs noted; kindly note that by construction the pendant cannot be taken off its chain (you could have your jeweler modify that, if you wanted to be able to wear the two separately as well)
