2 heishi Necklaces with silver and glass beads, turquoise and shark teeth

$135.00

Offered here as a pair, these beautiful vintage heishi necklaces are made up of slender shell disks, turquoise, silver and glass beads and what I think are most probably shark teeth. They have been with me for a long, long time and I always thought I would combine them into one longer piece yet never gotten around to it. So it's time for them to go to a new, loving home where they will be worn and enjoyed once again. Please note the rich colors of the turquoise chunks and the wonderful patina the hand-made silver beads have acquired over time and how perfectly it reflects the warm beiges and light browns in the shell...

Size/Weight: 16" and 13.5" long (end-to-end); shorter necklace is approx. 3/8" in width (the diameter of the larger shell disks) while the other is 5/8"; 76.4 grams (for the set)

Hallmarks / Date: not signed for maker nor hallmarked for metal content yet all silver components have been tested and guaranteed to be solid silver, most probably sterling; difficult for me to date with accuracy but I would suggest post-1960/70

Condition: excellent vintage with beautiful colors that complement each other, warm patina in the silver beads and no damage or repairs noted

Inv# 14406/14407
