True to the basic principles of the Arts and Crafts movement, this silver and sodalite ring brings together careful, honest craftsmanship in a clearn, unfussy design that respects the nature of the materials and brings out their natural beauty. I love the deep color of the stone with its veins of black and spiderweb of white that just makes it through to the surface. I appreciate the light hand-hammered texture of the precious metal and the oxidation that has been ingeniously applied around the silver beads to make them look as if they are emerging from stormy winter waters...
Size / Weight: currently a comfortable sz 6 US (can be easily resized by your jeweler); face is 11/16" N-S and 7/16" E-W; approx. 5/16" rise; 4.1 grams
