Carsi Mexican silver and tiger's eye scrolled hearts Bangle Bracelet

$0.00
SOLD

A maestro from the middle period of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance, Carsi is among those Taxco silversmiths about whom we don't really know much. I have had pieces by him a few times over the years and I was pleasantly surprised to have found his signature on the ornate bangle bracelet presented here. This wire-work scrolled heart motif I am used to associating with Arte en Plata, even though I have seen it by other makers or even anonymous in the past. Yet Carsi's version is bolder in proportions and even takes the design a step further with its addition of tiger's eye cabochons in raised bezel settings. And guess what? I even have matching earrings on the site to accompany it, if you love sets that is...

Size / Weight: 8 1/8" inner circumference (2 1/2" inner diameter) by 5/8" wide; 26.3 grams

Hallmarks / Date: maker's name as shown as well as "MEX 925" and "TAXCO"; 1950s-60s

Condition: excellent vintage with stunning proportions, gorgeous-looking stone, beautiful patina and no damage or repairs noted
