Enrique Ledesma Mexican silver and stone modernist Bracelet

$0.00
SOLD

One of Taxco's foremost modernists, Enrique Ledesma was also an accomplished lapidary and his slick, mid-century jewelry often feature a seamless marriage of silver with semi-precious and other stones. In the bracelet presented here, the green inlay is ridged and discreetly held in its sterling setting creating a row of elongated shield-shaped links that moves smoothly and easily conforms to the wrist. Lovely patina, beautiful color variation and a great signature make this a must-have for your modernist jewelry collection - and did I mention what a delight it is to wear?

Size / Weight: 6 3/4" long (wearable) by 1" wide; 46.1 grams

Hallmarks / Date: fully and appropriately marked with maker's signature as shown as well as "TAXCO", "HECHO EN MEXICO", des. no 244 and Eagle 3 assay mark; 1950s-60s

Condition: very good vintage with rich, saturated color in the inlay, great patina, and no damage or repairs noted except for a rough spot on the ridge of one of the stones - it is not easily noticed with a naked eye and does not really affect presentation at all
