Enrique Ledesma Mexican silver modernist Bracelet

$485.00

Out of Enrique Ledesma’s sterling silver and gemstone line, this modernist Mexican hinged bracelet is adorned with two faceted color-change sapphires. Mimicking the behavior of alexandrites by changing hue under different light conditions, these stones are often referred to as alexandrites themselves but they are in fact synthetic corundum. Set on stems that allow them to rise above the ribbon-like applique at the bracelet’s face, the gems go from deep amethyst to a steely purple, their sparkle picked up and enhanced by the glistening silver frame…

Size / Weight: 6 1/2” inner circumference (clasped); ribbon applique is 2 3/8” long by 7/8” at its widest; 39.3 grams

Hallmarks / Date: maker’s signature as shown as well as “TAXCO”, “HECHO EN MEXICO”, “925” and Eagle 3 assay mark; 1950s-60s

Condition: excellent vintage with gorgeous gems, warmly glowing patina and no damage or repairs noted

Inv# 15318
