One of Enrique Ledesma's signature designs, the necklace at hand is a must-have for the collector because of the rare color agate used to complete the trapezoid links. Most frequently found with black onyx, obsidian and green stones (chrysocolla or chrysoprase) this is an ode to "less-is-more" necklace and to come upon an example with this rich, reddish brown agate is a real treat. Perfectly cut - after all, Ledesma was one of Taxco's best lapidaries - the stone is cool and smooth to the touch, its rich inclusions and color variations pulling the gaze in its mesmerizing depths...

SIZE / WEIGHT: 15 1/2" long (wearable) by 5/8" wide; 69.9 grams

HALLMARKS / DATE: maker's signature as shown as well as "MEXICO TAXCO 925", des. no F8 247 and Eagle 3 assay mark; 1950s-60s

CONDITION: excellent vintage with fantastic stones in a rare for the design color, great patina and no damage or repairs noted
