James T. McCallum silver and turquoise modernist Ring

$0.00
SOLD

Vintage sterling silver and turquoise ring signed "James L. McCallum" in script, this beauty is a mystery to me since I was not able to identify the maker. Seamlessly set in sterling, the stone has sea green undertones coming through the dominant blues and it is surrounded by an almost shadow-box like setting. The shank is split into three-prongs on the shoulders making the combination of circular and triangular shapes in the ring quite powerful. Very much in the style of Southwestern or Native American jewelry with a definite modernist twist…

Size / Weight: sz 9.5 (easily resizable by your jeweler); face is just shy of 1" in diameter; 9.8 grams

Hallmarks / Date: signed "James L. McCallum" in script; not hallmarked for metal content yet tested and guaranteed to be of sterling quality; difficult to date with accuracy but I would suggest 1960s-70s

Condition: excellent vintage with beautiful color variation in the stone, great patina, strong geometric design and no damage or repairs noted
