Margot de Taxco Mexican silver enamel zodiac Charm Pendant ~ Sagittarius

$0.00
SOLD

A twist to Margot de Taxco's classic all silver zodiac pendant / charms this sinewy Sagittarius rises above a background of multicolored confetti enamel. A true feast for the eyes, the archer faces the viewer but has his head turned to the right in the direction of his outstretched bow-holding arm. I love these enameled examples by Margot because the confetti, especially the primarily blue / green version like here, reminds me of clear nights when thousands of twinkling stars light up the skies. Wear it as a charm on your Margot bracelet or enjoy it with your favorite vintage silver chain as a pendant (both options shown in photos here) ~ either way is guaranteed to win you endless compliments...

PS: Though the Margot bracelet and Taxco chain are used as props here, they are both available -if you would like to add either one to your purchase, please ask!

Size / Weight: 1.75" in diameter; with the bail and spring ring it will add a 2 1/8" drop to your chain/bracelet; 23.5 grams

Hallmarks / Date: fully signed with Margot's logo as shown as well as "MADE IN MEXICO STERLING", Eagle 16 assay mark and des. no 5224 (I think); 1950s-60s

Condition: excellent vintage with its lustrous enamel in great shape, free of problems and wear, the silver figurals very sculptural and with great patina, with no damage and no repairs noted
