Mexican Deco silver and carved stone hearts Bracelet

$0.00
SOLD

It's always "time for love" and jewelry featuring hearts and cupids but I think the motifs become more a propos as we approach Valentine's Day. So here is my second "romantic" bracelet for this year, a classic Mexican Deco silver and carved stone "hearts" bracelet. I have had the opportunity to acquire and offer many pieces in this design over the years, from bracelets and rings, to earrings and brooches and I have even been lucky enough to actually find a necklace - but only once. The stones used in the specific type of jewelry are mostly dyed calcite and sometimes polished agate as well. And the colors range from blood red to a variegated "baked apple" like here, from apple green to almost yellow. The result, however, is always to die for...

Size / Weight: 7 1/4" long (wearable) by 7/8" wide; 45.5 grams

Hallmarks / Date: "SILVER MEXICO"; pre-1948

Condition: excellent vintage with a beautiful, rather unusual color in the stone, "hearts" with beguiling sculpturality, beautiful patina and no damage or repairs noted
