Mexican silver Etruscan blowfish Dangle Earrings

$0.00
SOLD

A very difficult design to find in earrings form, the Etruscan “blowfish” is one of the cutest (and believe me, I don’t use the word often!), sweetest creations ever. I have seen it over the years as a pendant or a charm hanging off a bracelet but this is my first earrings set. Happy, their mouth wide open with excitement, their green rhinestone eyes sparkling and their round bodies covered in tiny little silver florets, they dangle at the end of long sterling stems, they are guaranteed to make your day whatever the circumstances…

PS: I knew I had the matching pendant to this set in my inventory and I was right! See the trio together in one of the photos and find the pendant necklace offered separately on the site.

Size / Weight: 1 7/8” long by 1” wide (the longest dimension of the blowfish); 11.6 grams (for the set)

Hallmarks / Date: maker’s initials “EHE” as well as “STERLING 925”; the screw-back findings are make of alpaca and marked as such; pre-1948

Condition: excellent vintage with nice patina enhancing the sculpturality of the fishes’ little bodies, brilliantly green rhinestone eyes, with no damage and no repairs noted
