Mexican silver multi-photo fold-out Photo Locket Necklace

$0.00
SOLD

Paired with an older, .835 woven chain this 1980s Mexican silver multi-photo locket pendant makes for a fun, attention-grabbing necklace. Photo lockets of this type, with or without stones, were made in Mexico from at least the Deco years and they come in all shapes. Here, the sterling globe is held closed by two "wings" that lock into its sides but when they are released, the piece unfolds revealing round frames to hold six small photos. Isn't it the perfect way to keep your loved ones close to ... your heart?

Size / Weight:
pendant is 3/4" by 1" and with the bail adds a 1" drop to the chain; chain itself is 18 1/4" long; 16.5 grams

Hallmarks / Date: maker's registration code "TG-273" as well as "925 MEXICO" on the locket; chain is simply marked "835"; post-1980 for the former yet probably earlier for the latter

Condition:
excellent vintage with beautiful patina, fun and easy to wear, with no damage and no repairs noted

Inv# 14457
