N E From Denmark mod silver Collar Necklace with dangles

$350.00

From the same period as the longer “cascading circles” collar I am presenting on the site, this necklace is also signed by Niels Erik From, one of Denmark’s foremost modernists. Central to the collar is again an axe-shaped element off which vermeil round dangles hang, each one suspended on two “paper-clip” type links. I acquired both pieces quite some time ago and they obviously came from the same collection as attested to by the off-white ribbon used to tie the necklaces around the neck. I decided not to have it replaced - it is in pretty good condition too - but I can easily see either one of the collars paired with luxurious velvet…

Size / Weight: sterling collar is 3 1/4” long wide or E to W (slightly curved to better fit the neck) by 2 3/4″ long (including the sphere danges); ribbon lengths are 18″ long on each side; 20.7 grams

Hallmarks / Date: fully signed with From’s name as well as “STERLING DENMARK” and “925S”; late 1960s-1970s

Condition: excellent vintage with great patina, a beautiful combination of warmly glowing silver and mellowed vermeil, visually captivating, with no damage and no repairs noted
