Mexican modernist silver multi-stone Bracelet

$0.00
SOLD

Matching the necklace of the same design also available on the site this early Mexican multi-stone modernist silver bracelet is the larger version of the “hand-and-stone” motif that I have seen by this same maestro. Here too it is the polished stones that occupy the center of the stage - black onyx, speckled brown jasper, richly colored azur-malachite and bright, cheery orange quartz. Held in place with sturdy sterling “fingers” (hence the name “hand-and-stone” the specific design is often referred to by), the stones bask in the light of the attention they shamelessly attract…

Size / Weight: 7 1/4” long (wearable; end-to-end it’s 7 1/2”) by 7/8” wide; 61.7 grams

Hallmarks / Date: maker’s signature as shown as well as “HECHO EN MEXICO DF” and “STERLING 925”; pre-1948

Condition: excellent vintage with a stunning, rich combination of colors in the stones, great patina and no damage or repairs noted

Inv# 14588
