Volmer Bahner Danish silver and enamel mod leaf Brooch

$0.00
SOLD

The third example of vintage Danish guilloche enamel I am offering here and staying within the parameters of white and minimalism, this leaf brooch is signed by Volmer Bahner who was active in Copenhagen between 1962 and 1987. A sweet piece with beautiful, shimmering color, machine turned "veins" that come through the enamel it can easily be combined with similar pins, if you are going for themes...

Size / Weight: 2" long by 3/4" wide; 6.9 grams

Hallmarks / Date: maker's initials "VB" as shown as well as "STERLING DENMARK"; 1960s-70s

Condition: very good vintage with beautiful, sparkling white, nice detail in the guilloche work, with no offensive damage or repairs noted except for a tiny little area of roughness in the glaze right at the leaf's tip which has caused mild discoloration; there is no enamel missing, however, and the discoloration is not as perceptible to the naked eye as it is in the photos (thank you, marcro lens!)

Inv# 14440
